Thursday being a Sacred Day for Sai Devotees, I felt as if i'm at Shirdi due to the Crowd Gathered in & Around the Sai Temple at Cambridge Layout Sai Mandir. Every where i went, i could see a large gathering of Sai Devotees, Whether it is the Chappal Stand or to Purchase Roses for Sai or whether it is a Queue to Touch the Guru Paduka or at the Prasadam. I had never seen such a Crowd Gathering in any of the other temples during my previous 3 Piligrimage visits to Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Various Places.
Samadhi Mandir of Baba is in First Floor & Dhyan Mandir is in the Ground floor/Cellar. There is a Office Room in the Ground Floor where in Donactions for differents Sai Seva's are accepted. Sai Devotees interested in getting Abhishekam Done have to book for the Abhishekam Seva 2 days in Advance due to the limited Seva Tickets available for any given Day.
Statue of Shirdi Sai Baba is totally unique & different here. Baba looks very passionate & caring & ever smiling in this temple.
Special Abhishekam, Aarti, Puja & Prasad Vitaran are done on all Thursdays & Sundays. Special Celebrations are also done on Important festivals like Rama Navami, Guru Poornima, Punya Thithi, New Year & Ugadi.
There is a 3 Floorey Building opposite to the temple maintained by this sansthan & Sai Seva like feeding poor & other health care services are taken care from there. A Free Hospital is also set up to treat the needy.
There is also an Auditorium in this building where in Bhajans & Satsangs take place during important days.
A Dedicated Chappal counter has been installed towards the right side of the temple to benifit Sai Devotees. Flower Stall selling Roses & Jasmine are put up on Thursdays. Stalls Selling Calenders, Spiritual Material, Cd's, Statues of Sai Baba & other Gift Articles are set up on all Thursdays & Special Days to Cater to the needs of Sai Devotees.
It is to be noted that lot of Army personal & family members visit this temple as this templeis near to the Army Hospital & Quarters.
Devotees visiting this temple kindly make sure that you find the right spot to park your vechicle as finding a parking space is a kind of difficult task. Also note that this road is an One Way.
In total it was a unique experience visiting this temple & i was able to find peace of mind. After visiting the Samadhi Mandir, i came to the ground floor where a line was already formed which took me to the Dhyan Mandir. A Paduka of Sai Baba is installed here & Sai Devotees can pray by sitting in the Dhyan Mandir. Later on the same queue continued towards the prasad section where in steaming hot Kichadi was served to Sai Devotees.
