I Visited this temple at Mallasandra, Tumkur Dist. on Friday, 08th October 2010. Though i'm in this town for a very long time, i had never heard of this temple. While speaking to some Sai Devotees on Thursday after the Shej Aarti, I came to know about this Small but very beautiful & Powerful Temple of Shirdi Sai Baba.
This Place is around 12 Kms from Tumkur Town towards Tiptur on the NH 206. The Temple is built on a Coconut Farm belonging to Sri Rajesh Ramdas.
Sri Rajesh Ramdas worked as a Govt. School Teacher & did not know much about Shirdi Sai Baba or Shirdi. He just got a Small Snap of Shirdi Sai Baba sitting in Idle Posture in Dwarakamai.
On 11th September 2007, Sri Rajesh got up early in the morning by around 5:00am to do his daily Routine. He had some Buffaloes in the Farm. It was his Routine to Milk them early in the morning. As it was a Rainy Day & there was Mist it was not such a clear site, But he could see a Old Man walking towards him into his farm.
Usually those who miss their way walk towards his farm as it is in the banks of Mallasandra Amanikere Lake. He too thought that the the old man should have come to his farm in the same way.
This old Man was looking like a Muslim Fakir wearing a White Soiled Kafni & a Lungi. A Scarf Covering his head. He was Carrying a Bag like baba used to carry to collect Bhiksha.
At Once Rajesh could make out that this man was not from the neighbour hood as he was not looking familiar. He asked the man about his where about but could not understand what the old man was speaking as he was speaking in some other language. But he could make out few words in between. The Old Man then asked Rajesh to get him some Roti as he was very hungry. By then Rajesh's Wife has come out of home hearing the Conversation. She wondered as to who had come at that time asking for food.
Rajesh Convienced the old man to wait for some time so that they can prepare food. Mean while his wife asked if the Old man would like to have a Cup of Tea. He Nodded his Head & she went to prepare the Tea.
Rajesh asked the old man to sit for a while & continued his milking process. The Old Man was Sitting in the Same Idle Posture as Baba used to Sit in Dwarakamai. But after a minute or so, he could not find the old man. He thought that the Old Man could have gone to the Rest Room to freshen up. But even after 5 Minutes when he could not see or hear the Old man, he started looking for him in the farm & to his Amusement he saw the Old Fakir with his hands raised towards the Sky & old man was chanting some mantra's facing the Sky.
Rajesh at once got Scared & called the Old Man & the man came out of his meditation posture. Then the old Man insisted on getting the Roti immediately or he would leave the Place at once. He even showed Rajesh a Box containing steaming hot Vegetable Rice & said that some body had offered him food for the afternoon. He only wanted Roti for the Morning Breakfast. Rajesh was confused with this Action & as it was not possible to prepare the roti at once, the Old man said that he would go away. Rajesh gave in 5 Rupees & asked him to have idli on the way near the Railway Station. After a Minute the Old Fakir had Disappeared.
From then onwards he was totally confused as to who has visited him at such early hours of the Day. Also how come the old man was carrying a Box containing such a Steamy hot Food. The Same Night, he got a Dream Saying it was Shirdi Sai Baba who had come as a Old Man & instructed Rajesh to construct the Temple at the Same Place where the old Man Stood in meditative Posture so that he could stay with his family.
Rajesh then Spoke to some elders & came to know that baba had indeed blessed in this way & on 11th & 12th November 2007 a Small Temple with a Statue of Shirdi Sai Baba was installed. Prana Pratistha & Kumbabishekam took place on the same day.
Similarly, Statues of Shiva, Parvati with Nandhi, Annapoorneswari & Bhakta Anjaneya were installed on later dates to benifit Devotees.
Rajesh then Quit the Job during mid 2008 & started concentrating on Shirdi Sai Baba & his Devotees. Rajesh has devoted his entire life on Shirdi Sai Baba. He Says that this is not just a Temple, but a Parihara Kendra. where in Devotees with Problems visit him to get the Parihara/Answers to all thier Problems.

At Present a Small 1 Room Bhakta Nivas is under construction, so that Sai Devotees from other Places can stay & get the blessing of Shirdi Sai Baba.
Statues of Sakthi Ganapathi & Subramanya Swamy has been procured & it will be installed after January 2011/Sankranthi.
As this temple is Inside a Coconut Farm & in the banks of Mallasandra Amanikere Lake, it is a Wonderful Place to visit. Also there is no Traffic, Pollution, Sound of Any sort & i could concentrate & Meditate on Shirdi Sai Baba very well.
