This is the 8th & final Temple visited by me on my 3rd Piligrimage to Sai Temples in Bangalore on 10th October 2010. After Completing Darshan at Harishchandra Ghat/ Sri Rama Puram Sai Baba Temple, I wanted to come back to my home. It was already nearly 12:45pm & i was sure that all the Sai Baba temple would have been closed for the After Noon Break.
I took the Sampige Road, Malleshwaram Route towards the home, when i came close to this Famous Sai Temple, I could see that the Door was Half closed & that the Cleaning Staff of the temple were busy in Cleaning the Sanctum. I went in a Hurry to Have a Quick Darshan of Sai Baba. I was told that i cannot do the Pradakshina as the Staff has already started to clean & they would not allow any one around the Sanctum.
I just tried my luck again & asked if i could atleast touch the paduka of Shirdi Sai Baba & have his blessings. After Initial Thought the Staff agreed to let me in only to touch the Paduka. I touched the Paduka & i felt happy to do the same. This is the very first Sai Baba temple i had been in Bangalore before 10 Years during 1999 - 2000.
The atmosphere looked almost the Same. Baba was looking even more Matured & i could see that Baba was wearing a Beautiful White Silk Robe for the Sunday Darshan. I have many memories attached with this temple in Bangalore.
Before 4 years there were no Sai Baba Temples in my Home Town Tumkur. The Nearest Sai Baba Temple would be this temple at Malleshwaram which is around 70kms from my home. During my College Semester Holidays I used to take a Train at 7:20am at Tumkur & Reach Malleshwaram by 9:20am. Then Walk down to this temple which is around 2 - 3 kms from the Station & it used to take 15 - 20 minutes to do So. I used to Reach Temple by 10:00 Am.
Go Around Sai Baba Couple of times. Some times i used to Miss the Count of No of Pradakshina Done to Sai. Then i used to go to the Meditation Hall in the Basement of the Temple. I used to meditate for about 1 hr & also take some rest during that period. Attend the Sai Baba Aarti at 12:00pm. After the completion of Aarti, I used to Take the Prasad in a Cover & Run towards the Railways Station as my return train would be at 1:50pm.
Some times some regular Devotees would recognised me & were generous enough to Drop me to the Railway Station. Before 5 Years it used to be a Big Effort to get Darshan of Sai Baba.
Thanks to Sai, Now my Home town has 2 Sai Baba Temples & 2 More yet to open in another 6 - 12 Months Time.
Even today when ever i visit this temple, i just cherish all those wonderful moments & those Efforts to See Sai Baba.
There is a Meditation Hall as Said earlier in the Basement of the Temple. It is opened from 7am till 10am. Then during evening for an Hour or So. A Laminated photo graph of Sai Baba along with a Diya has been kept in the Hall.
Special Abhishekam & Alankaram is done on Every Thursdays & Sundays & on Special Days Like New Year, Sankaranthi, Ugadi, Ram Namavi, Guru Poornima, Punya Thithi.
Blood Donation Camp & Free medical & Eye Camp are arranged once in a Year During the Temple Anniversary. Prasadam Served at this temple is really tasty. There are few Make Shift Shops near to the temple, Selling Puja Articles, Reading Material, Cds & Photo Frams of Sai Baba. Beautiful Flower Garland is Also available. The Prices are Sky High & people selling the Flowers & Articles near come down with the Pricing.
So it would be Advisible to Buy Garlands at the Malleshwaram Market, which is less than 200 mtrs from the temple. People interested to Buy Spiritual Material can Visit Giri Brothers Stores at 5th Cross, Sampige Road, Malleshwaram. It is Near to the Underpass Build Across Sampige Road.
All these Pleasent Memories have brought about a Huge Change in my Life style & also the belief that some one is taking care of me is brings Satisfaction with me.
Young Sai Devotees can plan a visit to this temple in groups to receive Blessings from Sai Baba & later on Hang out either at Cafe Coffee Day or Pizza Corner which arejust opposite to the Temple.
