This is the 16th Temple visited by me during my 13th Pilgrimage to Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Rajahmundry on Saturday, 17th Mar 2012.


This temple of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba is very near to the previously visited temple of Baba at Central Vegetable Market. This temple is at a distance of 25mtrs from Main Bazaar Road on Vonkayalavari Street.

The Sanctum of Sri Sai Baba has been installed on the first floor of a very famous Spiritual Library Sri Rama Bala Bhakta Pustaka Bandar which was opened in 1920's during the Pre Independance era.

A 3.5ft Marble Statue of Sri Sai Baba along with 1.5ft Marble Statues of Sri Ganesh & Dattatreya are installed in this temple Sanctum. A Pancha Loha Utsav Murthy of Sai Baba is also installed in front of the Marble Statue of Baba. On the Second floor a Statue of Goddess Saraswati has been installed.

Special Aarti, Abhishek, Vastra & Pushpa Alankar, Puja's are performed on Thursday & other Special Days.

Highlights of this Temple
Kalyanotsavam to Sri Rama is performed during the Sri Rama Navami along with special Puja & Chadan Utsav to Sri Sai Baba.

Sahasra Kalabishekam, Pushpa Sahasranama Archana & Datta Homam is performed during Sai Baba's Guru Pournima Celebration.

During Dussehra Special Puja, Abhishek & Pushpa Archana is performed on all the 9 days to mark the event ending with the Samadhi Utsav performed to mark the Sai Punyathithi Celebrations.

During Dussehra, Archana to Sri Sai Baba is performed with different flowers & articles on each day of the week.

On Monday Bilva Patram is used to perform the Archana. On Tuesday Beetal Leaf & Sindur, On Wednesday Udi is used to perform the Sahasranama Archana to Sri Sai Baba.

On Thursday Roses are used to perform the Archana. On Friday it is Chamanti (Small Red Flower) that is used to perform Baba's Archana. On Saturday Tulasi is used to perform the Archana & Puja.

On Sunday Lotus is used to perform Baba's Ashtothara Shatanamavali. Sahasra Deepa Alankaran Seva is also performed on Sunday during the Navratri.

Datta Jayanti is celebrated very grandly with Abhishek, Sahasranama Archana & Homam.

Special Puja's are performed to Sri Sai Baba on Sankaranti & Shivratri. Annadanam is performed in the Temple Anniversary day on Palguna Shuddha Pournami Thithi usually during March & around 6000 Sai Devotees are fed with Prasad.

Special Puja's to Saraswati is performed on Sree Panchami ( Magha Shuddha Panchami) with 54 Varieties of Dishes as Bhog to Sarsawati.

Aksharabhyasa is performed at Saraswati Sanctum on Saraswati puja during Navratri & also when Devotees request the temple to perform the same to their children entering the school.

Special Puja's are performed for children attending their Annual Exams during the months of March & April.

Vidya Nidhi a Scheme from the Library is performed during the starting of the School Academics & around 150 Students are provided with text & note books.

Tutuions for 10th & 12th Standard students from Poor Back Ground is taken by Teachers who are part of this temple Association free of Charge.

Satsangs are performed on all the Last Sundays of the Month on Spiritual Topics. Sai Satcharita Parayan is performed regularly in the temple premises & Sai Devotees are encouraged to perform Sai Satcharita Parayan.
